I have been breeding aracaris for over 12 years now and have worked extensively with Richard Revis. I have received a beautiful and perfect ivory billed Aracari who has been a fantastic pet and educational program animal. I have dealt with many, many breeders of aracaris and I would have no problem recommending him to anyone who is looking for one of these unique species.

I bought an ivory bill aracaris from Richard, I had the best experience from him. She was healthy, lively and lovable, and beautiful. Richard takes pride in his birds, everything is kept very clean. He interacts with all the babies, always checking to make sure they are happy. I would recommend Richard to all my friends and family or anyone else.

I have known Richard for many years having done business with him in both Herpetoculture and now more recently Aviculture. A few years ago I did business with a well known Aracaris breeder who after the sale, left me. Questions went unanswered via phone and email. This individual failed me and the field for that matter. Richard has gone above and beyond turning around a broken experience and making it what it should have been in the first place. Not many times will you meet a breeder willing to share both successes and admit to failings too-he shares it all. I couldn't be happier. Without hesitation I will refer future Aracari keepers to him. Outstanding breeder before, during AND after the sale!

Richard has given his birds the very best care and attention. He goes full out on giving them everything they need to be happy, productive and well kept. His babies are beautiful and anyone would be lucky to own one of his babies or birds. He is a terrific avian representative of the business of raising and selling birds. Anyone looking to buy a soft bill would definitely be buying from an excellent caregiver when they buy from Richard.

I have know Richard for 20 years and have seen him extend his Aviculture business to include Aracaris. His knowledge and care of these birds is above and beyond reproach. They receive the best quality fruit and diet which he prepares daily. The utmost care is given to the babies once they hatch giving you confidence that a bird received from him is healthy, well socialized and in premium condition. He is very forthcoming on responding to calls and answering questions regards his birds.

Richard is always responsive and very professional. I had placed a deposit on an aracari, but was unable to complete the purchase. He was very understanding and gave me a full refund in a very reasonable amount of time. I would certainly trust doing business with him again.

This is a late review because we received our male Ivory-billed aracari from Richard over 4 years ago. However, having lived with our darling boy for so long (and having met other aracaris and aracari/toucan owners) I can say with certainty that we were right in choosing to get a bird from Richard. Working with Richard was pleasant and easy. He was always willing to send us pics, video, and updates of our baby and even held him an extra few weeks after weaning when we realized the timing wouldn't be just right to bring him home. Our boy has always been very goofy, charming, and affectionate. His personality is very stable and he has always been great with other people and pets (parrots, dogs, rats, etc.). I'm sure a good upbringing and plenty of early socialization played a big role in helping him become such an awesome bird. We've heard horror stories of other aracari owners having to rehome their birds for behavioral issues, but have never had to worry about such things with our boy. 10/10 would choose Richard as our breeder if we are ever on the lookout for another aracari.
