The Davis Lund Aviaries' Goal is to promote softbill aviculture by providing an introduction to softbilled birds to the general public, and by sharing experiences and knowledge with other softbill aviculturists. They have been working with a large variety of softbills since 1992 and currently have over 100 individuals of over 20 different species, from honeycreepers to hornbills. They are active members of AFA, NFSS, and ASA, and firmly believe in protecting Americans' right to work with exotic animals.
Kateri writes articles on various softbills for magazines and wrote "Mousebirds in Aviculture" in 2001. She was a contributing author for the mousebird and turaco chapters of the book, "Hand-Rearing Birds" published by Blackwell Publishing. In June 2008, she was the focus of an article, "Meet Kateri Davis", in Bird Talk magazine. Her book "Turacos in Aviculture" was published in August 2012. Davis Lund Aviaries is a private softbill breeder, and does not broker or import birds. The birds they sell are usually raised in their own aviaries, and if not, are listed as to the origin. All birds are sold with written sales contract/health quarantees, care sheets, sexing paperwork, and pedigree family trees. Shipping is available by airlines (Delta or United). Their birds and bloodlines can be seen in many private collections and zoos around the USA, including Hawaii.

Over the years, I have done several avian transactions with Robert, the most recent was a purchase of a beautiful Red Bill Magpie Jay this week, and have had an easy, enjoyable experience each time. His avian knowledge and love for his birds is quite apparent. He is honest and a professional in every sense of the word. I highly recommend dealing with him.

Love the beautiful fruit dove and starlings that I just got from Robert! Got great history on each bird, and all of the birds were leg banded for easy ids, which is something not all aviculturists do. Very professional. Highly recommend Robert to anyone.
